The throttle/shift control on my Najad 343 is the original one that came with the boat and Volvo Penta MD17D that was in it (photo attached). The new Beta 38 was a huge upgrade to the tired old VP, but the throttle return spring on the Beta sometime makes it hard to hold a throttle position. I dont find any friction adjustment in the control head. Any suggestion for adjusting the throttle return spring force?
That old single lever control should have a friction adjustment but time has possibly taken that out.
Teleflex do however make a cable brake for the 33C cables. We keep these in stock and they are very reasonably priced.
