Hello, The boat has a Beta Marine 10 with 830 hours. When turning the starter key you hear the solenoid's click but the starter doesn't crank. Any suggestions on what to check for?

The coolant fitting on the bottom of the heat exchanger on my Beta 38 was quite loose, though not leaking. Now reconnecting everything after lifting the engine, any special thread sealant to use on these fittings? Would some basic, teflon-loaded, temperature-rated pipe sealant be fine?
