The original Yanmar 2GM developed 13HP ar 3400RPM so the BZ482 would be a slight upgrade (13.5HP). This engine is fresh water cooled and very smooth running and is physically smaller and lighter than the 2GM. It is designed to fit on the same engine beds as your old engine. Regards, Stanley
