Alarm

I have a 3 year old Beta 1505. Great engine. Started up 1st time this spring. I did however notice that the alarm that usually sounds when glow plug is activated and engine is stopped did not sound. Any explanations? Everything else works fine.
Thanks
Brad

Hello Brad,

Have you had the opportunity to inspect the back of your instrument panel as this may simply be a broken wire and is the first thing to check for.

The alarm board is a small rectangular circuit board with a black cylindrical buzzer bonded to it, occasionally the buzzer can become dislodged, it is then supported only by the two wires that electrically connect it to the circuit board which eventually break due to the movement of your boat and vibration.

The wire can normally be repaired and the buzzer re-bonded.

Thanks Bob
I did look at the back of the panel and the alarm circuit board was loose. I could not find a loose wire. Is the alarm circuit a replaceable part. If so, do you know the cost?
Thanks
Brad

Hello Brad,
The alarm board for all the new panels is $30. We do have these in stock.
Regards, Stanley
