Hello Farron, thank you for that answer, that is exactly what i want (maybe) to gain of. The motor is in the middle of the boat and a dry exhaust with al it's insulation against the interior would be (maybe) a too huge pillar right up within the boat.
I would implement an aluminium or SS exhaust pipe after the flexible junction at the motor, running through the boat for 7 meters.
I also think, that even when the raw water pump whould fail, it should be possible to run the motor a while, as long as the exhaust pipe is insulated properly?
The keel cooling for the motor and gearbox i see more crucial in canals.
