Beta 16 Winterization

My first winter is approaching with the new Beta 16.  Wanted to be sure I understood and completed all required tasks from manual.  Things to note:

  • Live north of Boston, MA
  • Boat is on the hard next to the house, covered
  • Boat normally comes out first week of October, then gets wet again first week of May (7 month layup)

So, given that.. I should be:

  • Draining coolant and replacing with 50/50 water/ethylene glycol
  • Flushing raw water line with same, 50/50 mix as above.  Draining from lift muffler after line is flushed.
  • Lubricating key switch
  • Replacing engine oil
  • Filling diesel tank.
  • Pulling sea water pump impeller
  • Pulling batteries

Anything else?  Does this 6-7 month hiatus require the calibration fluid and ensis treatment?

Quick correction. I'm going to be using Propylene glycol for the raw water system. Should I also use it in the fresh water side?

Your list looks good except for the cooling system. Keep ethelyne glycol based coolant in the fresh water cooling system.

Propylene glycol is only to be used in the raw water side.

Stay warm over winter.
