Heat exchanger - high rise exhaust

Hello,

I have the 1005 installed with the high rise exhaust. The hose coming out the rear of the heat exchanger rubs against the exhaust (wrapped in fibreglass cloth). I would like to reroute this hose to avoid contact with the exhaust.

Can I use a simple copper plumbing elbow here, attached with a piece of hose and clamps, or is there a better method.

Thanks

Mike

Hello Mike,

Beta Marine used to use a copper pipe for this and changed to heavy duty rubber hose a few years ago. I see no problem with you changing the rubber hose for a copper tube connection.

Have fun,
Stanley
