This page http://www.betamarinenc.com/index.php/parts/productpart/default has Kubota part numbers for Oil and Fuel Filters. But, when searching a Kubota page, I was given replacement part numbers as follows:
The page http://www.betamarinenc.com/index.php/parts/productpart/default Is the Beta Marine engine parts page. This page lists oil filters under the Beta Marine part number, Kubota part number and a Wix brand part number.
Other brands of filters may crossover but we are unfamiliar with them. The Wix brand filters are very common and are available at many local auto parts stores.
The heat exchanger o-ring is a particular size and also type and hardness of rubber. While it may be possible to find an aftermarket replacement in the field we have heard of people fitting aftermarket o-rings that did not seal correctly and this caused the heat exchanger to leak.
I recommend using the Beta Marine o-rings. They are inexpensive and are not changed that often. It is best to keep a pair on board as spares so you will not have to seek them out when you need them.

It's not the $3 per O ring I am trying to avoid. It is the $18 in shipping. Any ideas on how to reduce the shipping cost? Should I expect to find these at local boat shops?
Your website shopping cart "update" button isn't working this week. Not to change the subject. I tried three browsers. I'm trying your website to order parts from Washington State. I'm offended by your west coast distributor's flat $20 charge for shipping and handling. Surly spoiled by Amazon.
The website is set up like this to stop people ordering the incorrect parts which happens a lot with people who are not really engine people. The only way that we have found is for us to get the WOC number of the engine and then confirm that the customer is ordering the correct parts for his (or her) engine.
