Isolate start battery

I have a new Beta 38 with a keyless (CW) panel. I have a 120 amp alternator with an external regulator and a Blue Sea ACR. Two battery banks: a start battery and 4 house batteries. I want to isolate the start battery from the engine (per manual instruction) and depower the panel when I am away from the boat.

I think diverting the brown/white wire in the harness through an on/off switch (40 amp) will depower the panel. Does that also accomplish isolation of the start battery?

Hello Bill and welcome to the forum,

The brown and white wire that is connected to terminal # 1 on the multi pin plug is the power in to the panel.
You are quite correct that installing a breaker in this line will allow you to disable the panel.
