Heat exchanger Gaskets ???

I pulled and cleaned my Beta 25 heat exchanger tubes and reinstalled with new O rings but have a persistent leak at the front end. Tried tightening the three hex bolts but no luck. Permatex gasket ???

Hello,

I need to see what you have before I comment as this is not usual. I have never used permatex on any heat exchanger.
Please take a photo of the front of the tubestack with the cover removed a plus photos of all other relevent parts.
It may be easier to send these to my email address stan@betamarinenc.com

This is with the O ring in place. When I place the cover on and tighten the O ring does not set evenly because of this gap seen above it in the photo. Is this a normal gap ? Engine has 415 hours on it.

This will not be fixed with a bit of Permatex. There is a serious corrosion issue here and the front casting of the manifold is compromised.

You need to have this checked out properly as I "think" the corrosion is caused by an electrical issue.

Can you please let me know the dimensions of the O ring that you have fitted there.

The O rings were purchased through Betamarine for the 25 engine.

There was never any leakage there prior. I had replaced the fresh water pump and all was well but then decided to change the impeller and inspect the tube stack.
