Jabsco raw water pump on Beta 38 replacement?

Hi,

 We have a Jabsco raw water pump.  Jabsco raw water pump  29460-1701  4310

 From what I understand they are not made anymore. I saw one on Amazon for $500.00 +.

 I was told Beta now has a replacement for about $300 USD.

 We have a dual alternator setup so ours faces back on the right side of the motor. 

 Do you have a replacement for that? I would like to know if it would match up with the  Jabsco raw water pump  29460-1701  4310.

In other words, can we swap it out at anchor without too much fuss? 

Could you send me a link to it? 

A good post on our blog with photos of the pump.

We have a replacement pump made by RFT in stock. These have proven extremely reliable and also use the same impeller. The cover plate seal is an O ring.
This pump fits exactly the same as the original pump on your engine.
Pump list price is $335 and you will need a hose barb which is about $10.

Hi Stanley,

 Thanks for the info. I take it then we could just swap out pumps and not have a hose issue with eather the raw water coming in or going out? Say at anchor if we have a leaking pump. That has happened on a passage an we did make it to our destination but it was a slow go. We want a spare pump.

You should have no problem changing out the pump as long as you remember to close the intake thru hull first.
