Beta 30 Shallow Sump Oil Capacity

Greetings,

I have a 2016 Model Beta 30 with the shallow sump.  I just changed the oil for winter storage, and when I re-fill I only add about 4 liters of oil before the dipstick indicates full (at the top hole in the stick). This is after I have started the motor to let the filter fill. The manual indicates 5 liters is the capacity. The engine is not at an extreme angle.

I never really checked the capacity before, so I am now wondering if I have not added enough oil?

The oil pressure light is operating as expected (on when in heat position, then off when running)

I don't want to over fill, but also don't want too little oil.

Hello Ned,

Be guided by the marks on the dipstick. The claimed oil capacity includes all the oil in the engine which includes oil in all the oil passages, etc.
