Engine Rotation Direction

Beta literature says that its engines "rotate counterclockwise when viewed from the flywheel."  Is that from the rear drive plate or the front of the engine?  I thought it was from the rear end, but now I am confused.  Thanks.  (I ask because I am about to buy a Beta 35 and will add my own transmission and a new propeller.)

Don't see that you got any feedback, Terry. My Beta 38 rotates counterclockwise when viewed from the flywheel end (opposite the transmission/prop end).

All Beta engines rotate counter clockwise when viewed from the back of the engine ( transmission end ) and are looking directly at the flywheel.
