Jsut wondering the recommended cca for dedicated starting battery - beta20. Also, I ordered the bigger amp... what or can I install /set up ...to monitor (know) teh output of alt and how it is charging the batts... any advice appreciated, thankyou Jamie

We have had installed a 38hp Beta marine engine with transmission. It replaced a Perkins 4-108 50 hp We have a 36 ft Islander Freeport sail boatOur water heater is higher than the engine. It had a small stainless steel water tank for filling the engine with fluid. Worked good for 32 years with the Perkin...

On our power boat Beta 60 instalation point X is 8" above the water line is this considerd to close? and the minium should in fact be no less than 12" which is where they show the Anti syphon valve in the manual. Better to be safe than sorry I know. Zoe

Hi Stanley..thankyou so much for all your advice last summer....the beta 20 is working great...was inservice around july 2010, oil has been changed once so far....in August (engine and tranny)the engine has about 60hrs on it....For Spring use I was going to change oil and filter, also secondary fu...
