Tach stopped working

My tach would work sometimes and now not at all. I checked the connections at the back of the tach and the wiring harness on the engine, but could not find any shorts or bad connections. The other guages work. Any suggestions? Thanks, Barry

Will this tranny fit to a Kabota 13.5 engine. This transmission came off a universal diesel on a 28 ft sailboat. Its used but a good price on craiglist. Or is it just better to go with a new factory spec tranny that Beta marine sells. Used one is 275$. New one well if its under 800 I would be happy. any thought...

Beta 1505 replacement Zinc Max length?

After 10 months the engine Zinc needed replacement and I installed a replacement factory zinc. I also found some threaded zinc rods and they screw in nicely into the brass fitting BUT are about 2X longer then the factory zinc's.
