Repower Volvo MD11C and 110S saildrive

I am considering repowering my 33' Wauquiez that has a 1980 Volvo MD 11C and a 110Ssaildrive. I have heard that Beta engines are compatible with the volvo saildrive. What can you tell me and can you please advise me.

Hello,

Yes, we can do that and have very easy to use and successful adaption kits for both the Volvo 110S and 120S saildrives.

We do need some measurements from you before we can build an engine for you. These are to confirm the positioning of the front mount brackets as it is really nice when your new engine does fit as you expect it to. Although Volvo built a number of engine beds for these engines, some boat builders built their own for whatever reason was good at the time so there is really no guaranteed standard engine bed. Measuring and then building to those measurements is the only way to ensure a happy replacement. I suggest that you also replace the rubber diaphram and rear mount when you do this repower.

I would use the Beta Marine BD902 (25HP) to replace your MD11C.

You can contact me directly when you are closer to ordering. Please allow 3 to 6 weeks for your engine to be fitted into the factory build schedule  and then shipped to us.

Regards,
Stanley
