Marine diesel vs Highway diesel

Is there a difference between the diesel I get at a gas station and the diesel I get at a marina gas/diesel dock?

I try to go to a Valvtect certified marina (biocide and stabilizers in fuel) if possible, but if not I use only marine diesel in my engine.

Hello Mike,
To the best of my knowledge the main difference is the amount of tax that is charged is different for highway diesel as opposed to off highway diesel.

As highway diesel sells faster, you will usually get fresher fuel but any marina that supplies Valvtect diesel should also a fairly high turnover of product.
