Change from 40 Amps alternator to 70 Amps

I am planning to change to Beta 70 Amps standard alternator for my Beta 25.
I understand, when you change the alternator you also need to change the belt and the pulleys.
I have very small distance between the front of the engine and the interior and therfore I need to know how much more space these pulleys and 70 Amps alternator need?
Best Rgds

Hello Jan,

Happy New Year. I dont believe that you will have a problem as even with the pulleys for the 70 amp alternator, the fuel filter and raw water pump are still the parts that stick out most from the front of the engine.

Please provide your Woc # when you order the upgrade kit so that we can actually supply the correct spacers and other parts with the kit.

Regards,
Stanley

Hello Stanley
I wish you also a very happy new year.
Thank you for the answer and it was what I believed so I will order the kit in good time before the sailingseason start.
Shall I order it from you in US or from UK?
Regards
Jan

Hello Jan,

It would make sense for you to contact your local dealer or distributor in Sweden. If they dont have the kit in stock, they will get it from the factory. This will save you a lot on freight as they will be able to bring the parts in as part of their normal shipments instead of a special UPS or Fedex service.

Regards,
Stanley
