Engine Hours Counter

The Engine Hours Counter on the rev. counter has stopped working. Sometimes it is possible to read it on start up for a few minutes, other times it is just blank. Does anyone have an idea of where the problem may be?

The tach is made by VDO and I have asked them about this. When I have an answer, I will post it.

Is there a resolution to this problem?  Mine is also working only intermittently (mostly not working).

The best way to fix this problem is to fit an extra mechanical hour counter. VDO say that there is no problem with the digital hour counters so will do nothing to help.

If yours is still under warranty, we will replace the complete tach.

If not, a separate hour meter costs about $50 to $60.
