Thanks Farron. That's encouraging. What external regulator would you recommend or have you seen used for the Iskra alternator? I have 300AH Lifeline AGM batteries for my house bank and an AGM starting battery.
The 75 amp ISKRA fit to the Beta 14 - 25 hp engines can easily be modified by any competent alternator shop to work with most common external regulators.
The Balmar M-614 H is a very nice unit. We stock these regulators and have very good pricing.
Please call for pricing.

I have a Beta 20 early model with the 70 amp ISKRA. Will the Balmar unit work with this model also? Same type modifications?
Mostly looking to put the bulk charge on the battery bank in the morning and let the solar top it off during the day. Hoping to do this at a lower RPM. Am I on the right path?
