My oil pressure gauge deflects to maximum as soon as I switch on the ignition, even when motor not running. From what I've read this may suggest an electrical fault, not the true oil pressure. The advice is to locate the sender to which a white/brown wire should be attached. I cannot find the oil pressure sender or the wire! The only terminal I can find that looks like the diagram in the manual has a curly red wire bolted to it. I got excited when I found it loose, but cleaning it up and tightening it made no difference, so I guess that is something else.
Can someone tell me exactly where the sender is to be found on a 1505 please. And should it have a wire/brown wire?
Thanks, I'm away so cant look immediately. I got a rope around the prop just before the fault showed. Hopefully, it was just the additional vibration that shook off an already loose connection at the sender.
Searched for ages but still cannot find any trace of a sender or white/brown wire. Have tried contacting Beta direct but got no response. Just tried again. Mystified at present.
