Hello! I'm proceeding with the re-power for my Columbia 8.7 and wonder about waterlift muffler sizing. Centek lists several 2" models of different volumes. Any recommendations? Thanks! --Paul Mileski
Your exhaust system length will be comparatively short so you don't need the largest capacity waterlift muffler. As I don't know what space you have available for a muffler it is impossible to provide a part number. Do not use the smallest one, go with the next size up for safety. If space is at a premium, you may find a waterlift muffler in the Vetus catalogue. The LP50R or similar will be fine for your installation.

Thank you very much for the muffler info. A question regarding the ABVW panel: I would like to add a temp gauge and sender (I saw this mentioned in another post) and wonder if I could purchase a waterproof gauge and the compatible sender from you folks? I read (Stanley I think was the source) that an an additional port is available on the Beta 16 engine. After lots of consideration the best spot for the panel in my '8.7 is still (I think) in the (vulnerable) ****pit recess. The ABVW panel is the same size as my existing Volvo panel so I still have available the extra width to include two additional gauges (only the fuel gauge is there now). Thanks in advance! --Sincerely, Paul Mileski
We can provide a gauge and sender but I need to know the exact spec of your engine before I can ship the parts out. Please email the office directly and let us know the Woc number (begins with K) of your engine.
