I have a new Beta Marine 16 hp with about 6 hrs, installed 1/16, sat at the marina since, not sure if they broker her down properly. New heat exchanger.
For some reason is over heating. We have checked the raw water system, coolant, impeller.
I have also received your email and have sent you instructions for cleaning the heat exchanger on your engine. Unfortunately this forum will not allow me to publish a pdf which is the format that I emailed.
I am a bit confused as here you say that this is a new engine, but the serial number that you emailed to me relates to an engine that we sold in 2006
Thanks for getting back. That is very interesting to hear. The previous owner assured me it was brand new (with only 2 hrs on it). Told me to delete the extra hrs (over 300) on the hour meter as it was the one for the old engine.

The serial number that you supplied is for the original engine that was supplied to Mr. Rodrigues. The replacement engine block that he purchased has a different serial number.
