I have a 1 5/8 output from my Beta 20 - Hi Rise exhaust output that will run to a new water lift muffler. I have approx 10ft run of 1 7/8 exhaust hose running upwards to a high loop and down to the transom exit point.
I found the Centek Vernalift 1.63 X 1.88 Vernalift (Top In) 8 X 8 which will fit the hoses perfectly but it only has a capacity of 0.78 Gallons.
The comparable Vetus NLP040 is only in metric sizing and and does not accommodate a 1 7/8" hose (it has a 45mm or a 51mm) BUT it has a larger capacity of 1.2 Gallons.
I cannot find an adaptor from 1 5/8 to 1 7/8 for the Vetus, wonder if I could make those slightly different metric sizes work with the existing hose and normal clamping or would I be inviting leaks ?
Which Muffler would Beta Marine recommend ?
Thank you

1-7/8" exhaust hose is an odd size and best changed for 2".
The small Centek muffler is too small for your application. Centek will make a custom muffler on request. Obviously this will take some time and will cost a little more but I have found their service excellent in the past.
Thanks, I have reached out to Centek - not sure what volume muffler would be suitable but I used the following formula to calculate (from the Vetus catalogue)
