Beta 20 wiring loom

Had to recently join all the wires in the loom individually as the socket had become badly corroded. One problem since doing this is that the oil pressure gauge is constantly at maximum, even with the engine off. Another problem is that the engine temperature gauge has stopped working. would appreciate any help.

Regards, Mark

Hello Mark,

My first suspicion is that the wires for the oil pressure gauge and the temp gauge have been crossed at your repair joint.

Have matched up all the wires. Perhaps bad connections?

If the oil gauge reads maximum, it usually indicates a grounded sender wire.

If the temp gauge does not work, this usually indicates an open sender wire, bad gauge, or no power through the gauge.

Please e-mail me directly and I will get some particular engine information and help you sort this out.
