Original Power

As many vessels were sold in in complete kit form, the engine type and size can vary widely. Anywhere from 25 to 40 hp has been used. Volvo and Perkins were common.

Repower Recommendations

The Beta 38 is the preferred engine for this vessel. It produces all the power required for excellent motoring. The aperture prevents more than a 16 diameter propeller from being used. The lower gear reduction and a prop with a bit more pitch than usual works very well. With plenty of room in the engine compartment, the Beta 38 is easy to access and maintain.
