Sealant for Coolant Fitting

The coolant fitting on the bottom of the heat exchanger on my Beta 38 was quite loose, though not leaking. Now reconnecting everything after lifting the engine, any special thread sealant to use on these fittings? Would some basic, teflon-loaded, temperature-rated pipe sealant be fine?

This has a parallel BSP thread so sealant is needed. Teflon tape or silicone RTV work well but if you use an epoxy gell, this will also keep the elbow at the correct angle that you have set once it has cured.
