BV1505 Raw Water Pump remove, rebuild, replace

Good Day

removing sea water pump and would like some direction on the rebuild.  to note:  the O ring sealing the pump to the block was flattened and leaking.  Another small O ring took flight on removal and won't be found for a year or two.

Is there a schematic for assembly of the pump internals as well as directions on how to porperly install and torque the pump bolts

Hello Betamarine38,

Please call the Beta office in NC at 252-249-2473. There have been a few different pumps used and we will need some more information from you to answer this question and provide the best answer. If you can provide the engine WOC number, or engine serial number, that will be extremely helpful.

I took your advice and purchased parts from NC. I'll complete the pump install tomorrow morning and test for leakage.

I have some detective work to do as the timing cover looks badly corroded.

Could it be that my problem wasn't the I ring but corrosion

Also if my understanding is correct:  of the pump is in proper working order, there wouldn't be a water leak due to a bad O ring at the block but an oil leak.  If this is true, it points to corrosion being the issue

There is no water in the motor oil.  Cheers
