Would it be possible to obtain more information, if it exists, for the Beta Controller?


The manual refers to "detailed specification" which can be obtaoned from Beta Marine.


I have the 100 amp dual output alternator and am charging one 12 volt wet-cell start battery


and two six volt (in series) golf cart house batteries on two seperate charging circuits.

The Beta Controller is basically an external rectifier and charge controller and allows a higher output from the Beta Marine 100 amp alternator at lower RPM's. 


Unfortunately, due to the changes that have to be made to the alternator and wiring harness it not easy to retro fit.  It is an option that we prefer to order with a new engine.

Sorry I did not mention that the engine is new. It was installed over the summer. I picked up the boat last Sat. It has the Beta controller and the 100 amp dual output alternator on the BV-1505 engine.


I am just interested in getting as much information about the system


that I can, so I understand more thoroughly how it works.
