I have a 36 feet timber displacement hull vessel currently using a 40 year old Yanmar 3ES low speed 50 HP engine and plan to replace this with Beta Marine diesel. Can I have opinions on suitable Beta replacement model please? Hendrik Tasmania Australia

I have a 3 year old Beta 1505. Great engine. Started up 1st time this spring. I did however notice that the alarm that usually sounds when glow plug is activated and engine is stopped did not sound. Any explanations? Everything else works fine. Thanks Brad
