I am looking to replace my perkins 4107-08 with a 40-50hp Beta.
My perkins has a velvet drive. The rear engine mounts are bolted into the sides of the Velvet drive. Looks like a sling. The engine sits deep in the center keel.
Will I be able to use the same sling mounting configuration with the Beta ??

It is easy to fit the Velvet Drive to the Beta Marine engine and we have a kit specifically for this. This will allow you to use the same transmission mount arrangement that is in your boat. I have spoken to him and he is familliar with the Islander Freeport.
