What is your recommendation on using a scoop on the raw water thru hull vs. no scoop? My inclination is to not use a scoop. The reasoning being that it is easier to clean the thru hull opening. My yard says the scoop keeps debris out of the engine but I would think my Vetus raw water strainer would do a very go...
